Corporate Reporting Cycle Q4 2021
We're pleased to share with shareholders and investors, Esther's annual report. It promises much for the future, suggesting long term gains, with potential for global domination.
Overall
It has been a real pleasure to teach Esther this year. Esther is a lovely, cheerful member of the class and she always demonstrates the desired behaviour. Her confidence and enthusiasm shines in school and she is often willing to participate in many school projects. Esther works hard and applies herself across the curriculum with a great attitude to learning and always tries her best and gravitates towards positions of power. She works well individually, in pairs or in a group. She always participates in class and group discussions by putting her hand up and offering her own suggestions, opinions and ideas. Esther is very helpful around the classroom and she can be counted on for many roles of responsibility. We hope Esther continues to make great progress and we wish her all the best in Year 2. Well-done Esther and keep up the great work!
Reading and Righting
Esther has worked hard in reading this year. She always applies her phonic knowledge and skills the route to decode and read unfamiliar words. Esther has fantastic comprehension skills, when asked questions about the text, she is able to answer in detail showing a very good understanding of the text. She is also able to predict what might happen next based on what she has read so far. Esther loves listening and joining in with books we read as a class and contributes to class discussions about the text. To now develop further, Esther needs to build on her vocabulary, though her profanites are perhaps little too well developed, by picking out unknown words from the text and discuss their meaning.
Esther has made great progress with her writing and she can produce pieces of work appropriate to the genre studied. She is good at composing more complex sentences, often expanding them with basic conjunctions. Esther mostly uses capital letters and full-stops, but she needs to do this more consistently and accurately. She can confidently spell words phonetically as well as the High Frequency words taught. Her writing is always clear, often novelistic and presented neatly. Esther's writing contains adventurous ideas and she enjoys reading and discussing her written work with others. To develop her writing further, Esther needs to continue using adjectives and use a range of conjunctions to express her great ideas in more detail.
Maths
Esther enjoys working with numbers and she has shown a strong understanding of the number system. She can confidently identify and write numbers up to 100. Esther can read, write and carry out calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. She can count in 2s, 5s and 10s and applies her multiplication skills in solving simple calculations. Esther shows enthusiasm during practical Maths activities and enjoys using concrete resources to solve problems. She can identify and represent numbers using objects and pictorial representations. Esther is a keen mathematician and enjoys a challenge, it is important Esther takes her time when completing her independent maths tasks, as simple mistakes sometimes arise which is due to Esther not reading the questions correctly. To extend and deepen her Maths skills further, Esther needs to develop her fluency of multiplication. Also, encouraging more detailed reasoning to explain how she reached her answer and what method worked best for Esther rather than just shrugging and giving the right answer.
