Gratuitous tease
Last months blog fell silent to present you with only images of Esther - SNLITD (Shlomo no longer in the Duomo) was too dumbfounded by the election of Trump to commit some playful notes on Esther when faced with the horror of contemporary politics. Or SNLITD left it too late in the month again and was reduced to last minute plogging.
My resolution, one of legion such promises, for 2017 is to get back on top of my crumbling media empire and ensure that I update the blog in good time rather than at the bitter end of the month when time inhibits my ability to commit witty aphorisms to the screen. This resolution will last for a couple of months but I will bloody well try.
So enough of that tosh, what of Esther? There is so much to tell. She can sing (Little Donkey, Wham, Jingle Bells, Ave Maria) she can talk with an increasing degree of skill and hilarity (although I wasn't laughing when she called me Simon the other day - the foul urchin) and should commit to writing a book about the accumulation and exertion of power as her ability to impose her will on any given situation is unparalleled. It helps that her parents have been sleep addled by the first born so the rules of the games have changed but she is devilish in use of power. "Daddy, food" No "Daddy, food [accompanied with gentle hit on back of calf] No "Now Daddy" No [hitting increases while smiling] Er well what do you want? "JAAAAAAAM" [cute smile with a squat] Well okay Esther "Cake"
What? "Jam Cake" - this continues until Esther is eating a pile of Ladurée macarons worth more than a car" with Daddy thinking he has done well out of it. Men.
She is sleeping a bit better but did spend most of Christmas terrorising her parents be refusing to sleep and getting her full ISIS jihad on despite the house being stricken with Flu. However, that seems to have passed and is back to normal now we are safely ensconced in north London.
On the whole birth of Jesus thing - Esther did spectacularly well and many of you reading these incoherent ramblings will have been responsible for this most wonderful generosity, SNLITD says thanks to each and everyone of you. And even if you are one of those random people who visit this blog without any rhyme or reason - thanks to you too, It is Christmas after all.
Happy New Year. To compensate for the lack of words last month here is a bumper array of images.
