The Finer Details

So Esther Lillian. She arrived on Wednesday 25th February at 1940 after sterling work from our midwife (aged 12) and the rather dashing Senior Registrar (the inprobably named Dr. Dimitrios Marvellous - whom all the midwives claimed would let "deliver their babies" but I think that was code for "I'd definitely have his babies") and, of course, Maddy.

She emerged weighing 3.43kilos and measuring 55cms (which in baby terms makes her a giantess) length with a head of glorious dark hair (eh?) and a head so perfectly spherical that it could be Platonic.

And she is quite lovely. Ridiculously, unbelievably, stunningly lovely. Even when she pees on the bed or vomits over you.

And how you miss that baby braying.
